After disembarkation, you will be met at the port by your private guide and driver. You will drive to the old town where you will see the highlights of Istanbul. You’ll start the day with visiting the Hippodrome where the charriot races once were held in Byzantine period. It was the main entertaintment arena of Constantinople. There are enough remains of the hippodrome to get the idea what it was like. Then you will proceed to Sultanahmet Mosque so called ‘Blue Mosque’. When you first step in to the mosque you will understand why it is called as “Blue Mosque”. Thousands of pieces of hand painted Iznik tiles were used for the interior decoration of this temple. This worship house was built by Sultan Ahmet I in the early years of 17th century and since then people has been praying here. And then you will proceed to Hagia Sophia, the jewel of the Byzantine Empire . It was the largest church for many years in the world and today is the fourth largest. It is the church of holy wisdom opened by Emperor Justinian in 537 AD. It was used as the basilica and patriarchate house of Greko-Orthodox community about 900 years, then it was the biggest mosque more than 400 years for Turks today a museum with the order of, Ataturk who is the founder of the modern Turkey in 1934. Then we move on to Istanbul’s famous Grand Bazaar where you can find any colors of traditional crafts of Turkey.You can have an experience to make the bargain of your lifetime which is part of shopping culture of this country.

*Blue Mosque might be very crowded with long lines at the gate due to cruise ship groups visit. In that case, in order to save time for the rest of the sights, your tour guide can prefer not to visit inside of the mosque.
