It streches expansively along the European shore of Bosphorus. This ornate baroque masterpiece including 285 rooms and 46 reception halls built in 1856 was the home of the late Ottoman Sultans. It witnessed the changing of the regime of the country from being an Empire to a Modern Republic of Turkey in the first half of 20th century. It was built as a rival to European palaces like places in France,London. It has the sense of Orient with combination of European style. Its eleborately decorated halls houses rich collection of Bohemian cyrstal,hand-woven carpets, oil paintings. Next we will drive for Suleymaniye Mosque which was built by Architect Sinan in the 16th century for honour of Ottoman Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent. This is the largest mosque complex of Istanbul with its ingenious architecture. Sinan mentioned about the mosque as his journey’s work which today represents the heydays of Ottoman empire in 16th century.
